Nkota's Al-Ettifaq 'interested' in Man Utd star

It is now reported that Mohau Nkota's new club, Al-Ettifaq, are weighing up an offer for a current Manchester United star.

Having already acquired Nkota on a three-year deal, Al-Ettifaq are looking to further strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

The club are currently in Portugal for pre-season, while preparations for the upcoming campaign remain ongoing.

In February this year, Al-Ettifaq announced that their talisman, Moussa Dembele, had suffered a complete rupture of the Achilles tendon, ruling him out for seven to nine months.

The club revealed that the French striker would only return around October 2025 at the earliest.

As such, reports suggest that Al-Ettifaq are determined to secure capable reinforcements in the attacking third, hence their ongoing search for forward and attacking players.

According to Game Arena, Al-Ettifaq are now considering making an attractive offer for United outcast Antony.

The Brazilian winger is said to be surplus to coach Ruben Amorim’s plans this season following his recent six-month loan at Real Betis.

Antony has not even been included in United’s pre-season squad.

The report claims that, in addition to European clubs such as Napoli and AS Roma, Al-Ettifaq also face competition from fellow Saudi outfit Al-Shabab.

Nevertheless, Al-Ettifaq are said to be one of the few teams who could afford Antony’s substantial financial package, although an official bid is yet to be submitted.
