Mourinho snubs Ronaldo & Messi in GOAT debate

With the greatest-of-all-time debate reigniting after Cristiano Ronaldo's recent claims, Jose Mourinho has weighed in with a surprising take.

Despite their dominance over the past two decades, Mourinho does not believe either Ronaldo or Lionel Messi is the greatest player of all time.

Instead, the Fenerbahce boss insists that Ronaldo Nazario was the most talented footballer the game has ever seen.

Speaking to LiveScore per the Mirror, Mourinho explained: "Ronaldo, El Fenomeno. Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi have had longer careers, they have remained at the top every day for 15 years.

"However, if we are talking strictly about talent and skill, nobody surpasses Ronaldo.

"Injuries killed a career that could have been even more incredible, but the talent that that 19-year-old boy had was something incredible."

Ronaldo Nazario, who retired in 2011, won two Ballon d'Or awards and two World Cups, with his dribbling abilities, pace, and lethal nature in front of goal all coming together to mould a potent attacking threat.

Mourinho's comments come after an explosive interview, in which the Al Nassr star claimed that he is the most complete footballer to have ever played the game

"People could like Messi or Maradona, and I respect it, but I'm the most complete," the Portugal captain stated.

"I am the best player in history. I haven't seen anyone better than me. I'm good with the headers, I'm a good free-kick taker, I'm quick, I'm strong, I jump a lot."
