Lucas Suárez is now said to be on the verge of completing yet another loan move following his recent stint at Mamelodi Sundowns, with his next destination seemingly revealed.
Suarez’s parent club, CA Talleres, are now under the leadership of Argentine legend Carlos Tevez as their new head coach.

However, Tevez has shown no interest in Suárez, who returned to Talleres after a six-month loan spell at Sundowns.
The South African club opted against signing the centre-back on a permanent basis in June, even excluding him from their 2025 FIFA Club World Cup squad.
Suárez was initially reported to be heading out on a year-long loan to fellow Argentine top-flight side Rosario Central, a club that also recently signed Ángel Di María.
However, that move reportedly fell through, and Suarez has now changed course to yet another club.
According to journalist Hugo García of the Argentine newspaper La Voz del Interior, Suarez is set to join Club Atletico Platense.
It is said that Platense have offered an 18-month loan deal, which includes an option to buy.
Suarez’s time at Sundowns wasn’t entirely disappointing, as he won the Betway Premiership and finished as runner-up in the CAF Champions League.
