With Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahli now linked with a sensational move for Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez, here are four other superstars who are reportedly on the Saudi club's radar.
Earlier this week, Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, who are the world's richest club owners, confirmed that they had purchased a majority stake in four of the of the country's biggest teams, namely Al Ittihad, Al Nassr, Al Hilal and newly promoted Al Ahli.

Although the latter suffered a shock relegation from the Saudi Pro League in 2021/22, they secured an instant return to the top flight after Mosimane guided them to the second-tier title after just eight months in charge.
It seems the recent acquisition of his club by the current Newcastle United owners will provide a boost for the Jeddah outfit as they are now linked with a number of high-profile players from Europe's elite leagues.
City attacker Mahrez has emerged as Al Ahli's latest potential signing, with journalist Fabrizio Romano insisting that there is "concrete" interest in the Algerian although a formal approach is yet to be made.
The Italian transfer expert claims that the Premier League champions, who have a UEFA Champions League final against Inter Milan coming up on Saturday, would require a suitable fee to sell the winger as they have no intentions of letting him leave for free.
Chelsea outcast Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has also reportedly been approached by Al Ahli, but it is said they face competition for his signature from rivals Al Shabab.
The Gabon international has had a miserable 2022/23 campaign at Stamford Bridge, and various reports have suggested he is guaranteed to leave the Blues in the coming weeks, with the striker believed to wish to end his disastrous stay in west London having registered just over 900 minutes of football all season.
Spanish duo Sergio Ramos and Sergio Busquets have also been linked with moves to Al Ahli, with both veterans now free agents after leaving Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona, respectively.
Another big name believed to be on the list is Luka Modric of Real Madrid. The Croatian midfielder will be out of contract at the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of this month, and is yet to sign an extension.
However, while the recently confirmed arrival of England sensation Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund could affect the 2018 Ballon d'Or winner's minutes next season should he decide to stay in Madrid, the 37-year-old is reportedly intent on staying in Spain regardless, so it remains to be seen if he will be tempted by a big-money offer from Mosimane's club.
Here are five superstars linked with Mosimane's Al Ahli:
Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo recently insisted that his January move to Al Nassr has paved the way for many of Europe's renowned stars to play in Saudi Arabia, according to talkSPORT.
Discussing Karim Benzema's arrival at Al Ittihad, the 38-year-old striker said: "I knew that me going to Saudi Arabia would open a box and I wasn't wrong.
"I'm sure in a couple of years or three, this league is going to be one of the most important leagues in the world."
