OUTGOINGS: Two Chelsea stars want to leave

Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca has confirmed that two players want to leave the club in the January transfer window.

Blues duo Ben Chilwell and Cesare Casadei have struggled for regular game time this season and are now looking to leave.

Chilwell's only appearance came in the Carabao Cup while Casadei's only appearances came in the UEFA Europa Conference League and the cup.

Maresca has now confirmed the two players won't be involved in the FA Cup against Morecambe.

"Chilwell, for him, I think in this moment is thinking he is probably going to leave, so it is probably better to avoid using him to avoid that kind of situation, an injury or this kind of things. So the plan is not to use Ben tomorrow," Maresca told the club's YouTube channel.

"Yes, Cesare will not be in the squad. It is more or less the same situation as Ben Chilwell.

"For him, probably in this moment, the idea is not to allow him to play some minutes in case there is any opportunity for him to go and play. At this moment, this is the best thing for him."

Meanwhile, reports in England claim that Chelsea have also rejected a bid from Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign Renato Veiga.

The 21-year-old has played just 176 minutes in the Premier League this season after joining in the last transfer window.
