Paris Saint-Germain's lucrative sponsorship deal with Rwanda is under fire, as the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has formally demanded its termination.
The Congolese government has joined growing calls for the French giants to cut ties with the East African nation and its 'Visit Rwanda' campaign amid accusations of military aggression.

Since 2019, PSG has featured 'Visit Rwanda' branding on its kits, a deal that reportedly brings in an estimated €15 million (R290 million) per year.
Arsenal and Bayern Munich have similar agreements with Rwanda, promoting the country as a top tourism destination.
However, as tensions escalate in the region, these partnerships are facing serious backlash.
The DRC government has accused Rwanda of supporting the M23 rebel group, which has been linked to violence in the east of the country.
The situation has sparked a humanitarian crisis, with thousands of people displaced and reports of widespread atrocities.
In response, Congolese Foreign Minister Therese Kayikwamba Wagner has taken matters into her own hands, sending an open letter to PSG, the Gunners, and the Bavarians urging them to reconsider their ties with the country.
"Thousands of people are currently trapped in the city of Goma with limited access to food, water and security. Countless lives have been lost; rape, murder and robbery are prevalent," she wrote.
"Your sponsor is directly responsible for this misery. If not for your own conscience, then the clubs should do it for the victims of the Rwandan aggression."

Acording to Afrik Foot, a petition started by a PSG supporter in France is pushing for club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi to let the deal expire when the current contract runs out in 2025.
