REVEALED: Malesela's sensational return...

Recent news coming out of the rumour mill is that former Marumo Gallants head coach Dan Malesela is set to return to a club he was previously at.

Baroka FC have been struggling since parting ways with Malesela during last season's PSL promotion/relegation play-offs.

Morgan Mammila took over but failed to deliver positive results and was dismissed after just a few matches into the current campaign.

He was subsequently replaced by Joel Masutha, who resigned midway through 2024/25 for reasons that remain unclear.

It is believed should Malesela sign with the club, it would significantly enhance their chances of a comeback to the topflight as the former Orlando Pirates defender tends to perform well at clubs when given full control.

While neither Malesela nor the Limpopo-based outfit could be reached for comment, a reliable source in the Bakgaga corridors has confirmed that discussions are ongoing.

"Yes, it's true that talks are still in progress between Malesela and the club. To my knowledge, everything should be finalized tomorrow," the source informed KickOff.com.

According to the insider, Baroka are planning to announce the reunion on their social media platforms by Sunday at the latest.

Currently, the side sits eighth in the Motsepe Foundation Championship standings with 29 points after 22 matches, 12 behind leaders Durban City, who have a game in hand.
