The story
In some quarters and among fans, it is heavily debated whether or not Khune should be back in goal for his club. The experienced shot-stopper is yet to make a single appearance for his team this season, falling behind Bruce Bvuma and Brandon Petersen in Arthur Zwane's pecking order.
However, not all hope is lost as the Ventersdorp-born baller has been visibly putting in the work at the gym to get back into contention ahead of a long 2022/23 campaign.

More than just a partner
Admittedly, Khune remains mentally strong having consistently remained on the sidelines for the past two to three seasons. He remains club captain, while he is also the longest-serving player at Amakhosi.
In his corner, the 35-year-old boasts a supportive partner who wants to see him return to the starting line-up, and has shown this by becoming his better half at home training as well.
While it seems plausible that his spouse has her own fitness goals, it is wholesome to see the two pairing up for a common objective and even more heartwarming to see the support system that the shot-stopper has.
