The Buccaneers and Chilli Boys have already agreed a deal to take the talented midfielder to Cape Town, but the player and his manager, Tim Sukazi, will not put pen to paper until they get the terms they want.
“I would not like to be drawn into what the chairman of Chippa United may or may not have said on radio regarding Mayambela's pending move,” Sukazi tells snl24.com/kickoff.
“From my side and the player's side, if we are to be presented with a deal which has terms and conditions that are similar to those in his current contract with Pirates as to its duration and other material terms, we are ready to sign … our pen is more than ready.
“It is therefore up to all parties concerned to act accordingly.”
Mayambela has been a peripheral figure in local football since signing for Pirates from Bloemfontein Celtic. His current contract with Bucs expires at the end of the season and it is highly unlikely that he will be offered an extension.
