Ex-Bucs striker: This is what Chivaviro needs...

Former Orlando Pirates striker, currently an analyst, Phumudzo Manenzhe has revealed what is needed to help Kaizer Chiefs' misfiring hitman Ranga Chivaviro improve his finishing.

Chiefs suffered a fifth defeat of the season when they lost 1-0 to Golden Arrows at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday.

What perhaps makes the defeat more heart-wrenching for the side's faithful is the fact that they dominated proceedings but failed to find the back of the net from their 14 attempts at goal, of which just four landed on target.

Their best chance on the day fell to Ranga Chivaviro, who was put through on goal by a delightful Mduduzi Shabalala pass but missed the target altogether with only the goalkeeper to beat.

After the match, first assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef revealed that the club had made attempts to help the bulky striker by implementing extra training sessions, with a focus on finishing.

Reviewing the match on SuperSport TV's ExtraTime however, Phumudzo Manenzhe is not convinced that this will do the trick.

"BMT is what's needed," said Manenzhe.

"BMT - Big Match Temperament - is what is needed. The pressure at training is not the same as the pressure on matchday.

'And I think emotional intelligence was needed there a little bit, to say, rather go with the stronger foot.

"He is going with his left foot, which is not his stronger foot, and hence he doesn't put it in the back of the net," he added.
