AmaZulu have announced the signing of in-demand Orlando Pirates midfielder Ben Motshwari on a short-term deal until the end of the season as Pablo Franco reinforces his squad.
With a midfield that includes the likes of Miguel Timm, Makhehlene Makhaula and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, a starting place is hard come by.
Although Motshwari has been there longer at the club, the defensive midfielder had fallen down the pecking order, making his exit an unsurprising one.
Motshwari only started four matches from 18 appearances last season and has now been recruited by the Durban-based outfit who have the option to extend the deal at the end of the season.

"AmaZulu Football Club have concluded a deal with former Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits midfielder, Ben Motshwari (32) for the remainder of the season with an option to renew at the end of the season," the club said in a brief statement.
The 32-year-old midfielder has not featured for the Buccaneers this season despite signing a one-year contract extension at the start of the season.
"We welcome Ben into the team and trust that he will settle in well and make a good contribution in Pablo Franco's side," added club chairman Sandile Zungu.
Meanwhile, Motshwari joins an AmaZulu side that is finding their rhythm, having collected two wins from their last two outings and now sit fourth place on the DStv Premiership log table.
