'I was happy with what I saw' - Broos on Bafana's stalemate

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos was pleased with what he saw from the goalless draw against Namibia after making numerous changes.

The two COSAFA nations were unable to find the back of the net at Orlando Stadium, although South Africa extended their unbeaten run to eight games under Broos.

The host made a number of new faces from their last match against Morocco and dominated proceedings but they were unable to find the back of the net.

"We want to always win the game, that's for sure. But I'm happy with what I saw. It was a team with many new players so it's not easy. Still, we had a lot of chances to score," Broos told SABC Sport.

"But I must be honest they also had a few chances but I think we were the better team certainly in the second half and we couldn't score that goal that we needed but again when I look at the game again, I'm happy with what I saw."

Broos also confirmed that Tuesday's clash against the Democratic Republic of Congo will see the regulars return to the side.

"Another team, that's for sure. Also, the players who were not in the team today will be certainly there on Tuesday," he continued.

"And yes, I think we will have a team that know each other better that play much more together in the last months than the team today and that we can maybe have a better game also."
