The shock clause that scuppered Manchester United star Jadon Sancho's last-minute move to Saudi Arabia has now reportedly been revealed.
Reports suggest that the winger faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford after his recent, and public, spat with manager Erik ten Hag.

The Englishman accused the Dutch boss of making him a scapegoat after he was dropped for United's game against Arsenal last weekend, with the coach having cited poor training as the reason for his exclusion from that matchday squad.
It is believed the winger's response has not gone down well internally, with Ten Hag reportedly willing to cut ties with Sancho, whom many feel has failed to justify the lofty €85 million (R1.7 billion) the club paid for him just two years ago.
According to ESPN, some of his teammates are becoming fed up with him too.

With that said, it is understood that Saudi outfit Al Ettifaq made a last-ditch attempt to sign Sancho before their transfer window closed on Thursday.
However, per the Daily Mail, the proposed move did not come to fruition because United wanted an obligation to buy clause to the tune of £50 million (R1.1 billion), which would come into effect at the end of the 2023/24 campaign, inserted into the deal.
It is said that Ettifaq, who are managed by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, could not afford the mandatory purchase, resulting in the transfer's collapse just hours before the deadline, despite Sancho reportedly being open to moving to the Middle East.
It is further claimed that the English giants were willing to cut their losses on Sancho earlier in the window if a £45 million (R1 billion) bid had arrived.
However, with the player having struggled for game time since arriving at Old Trafford, their appears to be a feeling in the market that United are overvaluing the 23-year-old.
