Polokwane City latest team to show interest in Kambala

Newly-promoted DStv Premiership side Polokwane City are the latest team to show interest in Mozambican midfielder Manuel Kambala.

Kambala recently became a free agent following the expiry of his contract at Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Magesi.

"I'm a free agent, but still training with Magesi, and we're still negotiating as they want to keep me there," Kambala tells KickOff.

"They are still thinking about what I've asked for, they gave me an offer which I'm still assessing.

"So, we are still negotiating, but obviously I'm not satisfied with the offer.

"I'm currently a free agent, as for Polokwane City, they haven't talked to me.

"I won't deny that they might be interested, but they haven't approached me.

"Magesi had a friendly recently, and the Polokwane City chairman was there.

"After the game the Polokwane City chairman greeted me, but he didn't say anything further.

"Maybe it's because the Magesi coach was there, and everyone was there, so he couldn't say anything.

"He just asked me if I'm okay, things like that.

"He didn't talk about contracts and offers."
