An Al Ahly icon has slammed the Egyptian giants following their heavy defeat in the CAF Champions League on the weekend.
The Red Devils were handed a 5-2 thrashing by Mamelodi Sundowns in matchday four of the the group stage, with the result making a huge dent to the side's chances of qualifying for the quarter-finals.
The Cairo outfit now has just one win in four games and they currently sit third in Group B, five points behind second-placed Al-Hilal with just two games to go.

Club legend Wael Gomaa, who incredibly won the tournament six times with Al Ahly, has insisted that the players and management of the team should be held accountable for their underwhelming display on Saturday.
"We were expecting a better reaction from the players after conceding," Gomaa told beIN Sports. "This is the first time I watched Al Ahly losing a game and just wished the referee would blow his whistle to end the game before full-time.
"There are no excuses for such a result. Everyone at this club should be held accountable. There is no fight, no spirit.
"The only one fighting for the ball was Percy Tau. But there are so many mistakes and the board did not back the manager with enough signings.
"There are players who play every week at this club and don't deserve their spot because there's no competition in this team.
"I was once the best defender in Africa and I was always afraid of sitting on the bench for the next game."

The 117-capped Pharaoh also made a coy comment about former boss Pitso Mosimane.
"People will bring back the discussion about Mosimane," Gomaa added. "I am only talking about football here, but there are other things about him that are beyond the technical aspects of the game and I don't want to talk about them."
Al Ahly now need to win their two remaining fixtures against Al-Hilal and Coton Sport and hope that Sundowns avoid defeat against the former on 18 March.
