Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Teenage Hadebe continues to shine abroad with official league figures revealing the Zimbabwean's lucrative salary earned in the MLS with Houston Dynamo.
In the latest figures released by the MLS Players Association on Monday, Hadebe is one of four players at Houston Dynamo earning at least a million dollars per year along with Hector Herrera, Tim Parker, and Sebastien Ferreira.
Though they failed to qualify for the playoffs, Dynamo remain in the top 10 clubs with the highest salary spend for the 2022 MLS season.

Herrera – who joined in July from Spanish heavyweights Atletico Madrid – is the top earner at Dynamo on USD 5.246 million (approximately R95,29 million) per annum.
Then with Hadebe (27), his earnings are at USD 1,179 million (approximately R21,4 million) per year.
This is the average annual guaranteed compensation which includes any marketing bonus and any agent's fee – both annualized over the term of the contract but don't include performance bonuses as there is no guarantee that the player will reach those bonuses.
These figures only include compensation from the players' contract with the MLS and don't include any earnings from any contracts with teams or their affiliates.
Dynamo have several sponsors who include technical suppliers Adidas.
Hadebe – who was signed by Dynamo as a designated player from Turkish club Yeni Malatyaspor featured in 23 games and scored twice this season.

He is a Zimbabwe international who spent two years at Chiefs.
The highest earner in the MLS is Italian attacking midfielder Lorenzo Insigne of Toronto FC who earns USD 14 million (R254 million) per annum after joining at the beginning of the year as a designated player.
Other top earners include Xherdan Shaqiri and Chicharito with Gareth Bale just outside the top 20 since joining LA FC from Real Madrid.
There are two South Africans playing in the MLS – Bongokuhle Hlongwane at Minnesota United and Tsiki Ntsabeleng of FC Dallas.
Hlongwane (22) is on USD580 000 (approx. R10,5 million) per annum while Ntsabeleng (24) earns USD65,500 (approx. R1,18 million) every year.
