UEFA Europa League wrap

Dele Alli returned as Tottenham Hotspur qualified for the UEFA Europa League play-offs after getting the better of Shkendija on Thursday evening.

Jose Mourinho started with five changes from Sunday's 5-2 triumph at Southampton in Toby Alderweireld, Serge Aurier, Erik Lamela, debutant Joe Hart and Alli.

Spurs were ahead in just five minutes through Lamela off a decent move, but Shkendij regrouped at halftime and levelled matters ten minutes in the second half through Valmir Nafiu.

Heung Min-Son continued his scoring ways when he reasserted his side's lead late in the match before Harry Kane rounded off the contest later on.

AC Milan joined Tottenham Hotspur in the group stage play-offs following a 3-2 win over Bodo/Gint at the San Siro Stadium.

Milan started their domestic campaign on a winning note against Bologna, and were without the man who spearheaded the win-Zlatan Ibrahomvic who has tested positive for the Coronarvirus pandemic.

Hakan Calhanoglu cancelled out Kasper Junker's earlier opener before Lorenzo Colombo gave the Rossoneri the lead at the break.

Calhanoglu wrapped up his brace minutes from halftime despite Jens Peter Hauge's best attempts a little later as the Italians marched on.
