In the latest Football Leaks, which was at the heart of Cristiano Ronaldo's rape allegations published by German magazine Der Spiegel, news has quickly filtered over the prospect of the European Super League.
The news has threatened to disrupt the current structure of elite European football and the UEFA Champions League, as it's claimed that Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern Munich will be the 11 founding members.
Der Spiegel further claimed that the clubs will look to sign a 'binding team sheet' this month, in order to commit to the new project.
But Aleksander Ceferin has refuted the claims and says he'd fight against any sort of proposal.
"It would damage football worldwide," he told German publication kicker. "It would be boring.
"To see Juve vs. Bayern every week would be more boring than let's say Juve vs. Torino. It's no question for me that I will fight and do all I can against such a league for as long as I am here.
"If we are talking about a closed system, we can forget about solidarity and the development of football. In the long run, the clubs would be the losers."
