UEFA Champions League wrap 24 October 2018

Liverpool moved to the top of Group C following their 4-0 thumping of Red Star Belgrade ar Anfield.

The Reds raced into a two-goal lead in the first half thanks to strikes from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

Sala completed his brace six minutes into the second minute, before Sadio Mane bagged the side's fourth in the 80th minute, just minutes after he had a penalty saved.

Following Napoli's draw at Paris Saint-Germain, Klopp's men now occupy top spot with six points.

Borussia Dortmund maintained their perfect start to the group stage phase with an emphatic 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid.

The first half only provided one goal, with Axel Witsel finding the back of the net with a deflected effort from distance in the 38th minute.

However, the Bundesliga outfit were ruthless in the second half, with Raphael Guerreiro bagging a brace while Jadon Sancho also netted his first Champions League goal.

Porto jumped to the top of Group D with a 3-1 victory over Lokomotiv Moscow in Russia.

Moussa Marega, Hector Herrera and Jesús Corona were on target to cancel out Anton Miranchuk's strike, while Iker Casilas saved a penalty from Manuel Fernandes.

Schalke relinquished top spot in Group D after playing to a goalless draw with Galatasaray at the Türk Telekom Stadyumu.
