Real Madrid laboured to a 2-1 victory over Viktoria Plzen in their third match in Group G on Tuesday night.

Karim Benzema and Marcelo got the goals for Los Blancos, before Patrik Hrosovsky gave them a scare by pulling a goal back towards the end.

The win sees Los Blancos move top of the Group.

Manchester City registered a convincing 3-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine on Tuesday night.

David Silva, Aymeric Laporte and Bernardo Silva were on target for Pep Guardiola’s charges.

The English Premier League Champions top Group F with six points from three matches.

Joelinton netted in stoppage time for Hoffenheim to deny Lyon victory in a pulsating 3-3 draw on Tuesday night.

Bertrand Traore opened the scoring for the French side in the 26th minute before Andrej Kramaric levelled matters six minutes later.

Kramaric completed his brace two minutes after the break but only for Tanguy NDombele to make it 2-2 just before the hour-mark. Memphis Depay thought he had netted the winner for Lyon in the 67th minute but Joelinton salvaged a draw for the hosts in the second minute of stoppage time.

Lyon are second in Group F with five points while Hoffenheim occupy the joint bottom spot with two points equal with Shakhtar Donetsk.

Edin Dzeko netted a brace to inspire CSKA Moscow to a comfortable 3-0 win over CSKA Moscow in Group G on Tuesday night.

Dzeko scored in the 30th and 43rd minute while Cengiz Under made it 3-0 five minutes after the break.

Roma are second in Group G, equal on six points with Real Madrid while CSKA Moscow are third with four points all after three games.

Noussair Mazraoui snatched a late winner for Ajax Amsterdam to sink Benfica 1-0 in Group E match on Tuesday night.

Mazraoui netted deep in second-half stoppage time to hand Ajax all the three points.

The Amsterdam outfit preserved their top spot in Group E on seven points, equal with Bayern Munich.

Benfica are third with three points all after three games.
