Ronaldo has been widely criticised for his lack of influence with Real this season but his goal scoring ability in high-profile fixtures has not slowed down.
This was proven as he grabbed a goal in each half to secure a dramatic late comeback for Los Blancos, as they look towards securing their third successive Champions League title.
"It was very important," said Ronaldo, as quoted via Sky Sports. "When you score goals and the team wins, it is always special.
"Today, I stood out, I helped the team to win by scoring two goals, but we know that the tie is not finished yet."
The 33-year-old has scored 25 goals and registered five assists in 29 games across all competitions this season.
