Ibrahimovic returned to Milan in January after two impressive years with Major League Soccer outfit LA Galaxy, where he registered 53 goals in 58 games.
There has been talk of retirement once his contract finishes in June, but the 38-year-old insists he wants to keep on playing.
"I have a contract with Milan, and we will see how it ends there, if it will end," he told Dplay, according to Sportbladet.
"I have said I want to play football for as long as I possibly can, but you never know what will happen.
"I'm a person that wants to perform and to contribute with something, not just play because of what I have done or who I am.
"If you belong to a team, you have to contribute with something. We will see what happens."
Ibrahimovic has been keeping busy with Swedish outfit Hammarby while the season is suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
