AS Roma's five-game unbeaten run in Serie A came to an end at the hands of Torino at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday night.

Andrea Belotti was the star of the show for the visitors after bagging a brace to take his tally to 10 league goals for the season.

Lazio rallied from behind to secure a 2-1 win over struggling Brescia on Sunday afternoon.

Mario Balotelli gifted the hosts the lead after 18 minutes, but Lazio managed restore parity through Ciro Immobile's penalty just before the break.

Immobile had the final say after netting the winning goal in the first minute of second-half stoppage time.

Hellas Verona got their new year off to solid start after defeating SPAL away from home on Sunday afternoon.

Giampaolo Pazzini and Mariusz Stepinski got the goals for the visitors at the Stadio Paolo Mazza.

Genoa boosted their survival hopes with a 2-1 victory  over Sassuolo on Sunday evening.

Domenico Criscito put the hosts in front from the penalty spot in the 29th minute, but Sassuolo levelled matters through Pedro Obiang four minutes later.

The hosts managed to secure the winning goal with four minutes left in the second half thanks to Goran Pandev's fourth goal of the season.
