Reports: Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo planning to offload eight players

Following his appointment as Juventus' new manager, Andrea Pirlo is reportedly looking to offload seven players as he prepares to mould his squad for next season.

Pirlo was appointed as the Bianconeri's new manager following the sacking of Maurizio Sarri over the weekend, and the former Italy international appears to be wasting no time in leaving his mark on the squad.

According to Spanish publication Marca, the 41-year-old is preparing to offload up to seven players from the current team in order to fund moves for new signings, which he is said to believe is imperative if the club is to keep hold of star player Cristiano Ronaldo.

It is claimed that Sami Khedira, Gonzalo Higuain, Mattia De Sciglio, Douglas Costa, Alex Sandro, Daniele Rugani and Aaron Ramsey could leave in the coming weeks, while Miralem Pjanic has already agreed a deal to join FC Barcelona and Blaise Matuidi departed on Wednesday.

Higuain could follow Matuidi to the United States, where the Frenchman is expected to sign for Inter Miami, after being linked with a move DC United, while the other six players could be offered to clubs around Europe.

Separate reports in England suggest that up to four of those players could be offered to Arsenal as part of a swap deal for France striker Alexandre Lacazette, while Pirlo has also reportedly identified Raul Jimenez, Arkadiusz Milik and Edin Dzeko as alternatives should he source enough funding.
