Juventus boss on Cristiano Ronaldo's Ballon d'Or snub

Lionel Messi was awarded his sixth Ballon d'Or title on Monday evening, beating out Virgil van Djik and Ronaldo to the accolade.

Juventus defender Chellini felt Ronaldo was robbed of last year's Ballon d'or, which went to Luka Modric, and accused Los Blancos stopping the Portuguese from winning the award,

Paratici has somewhat echoed the defender's sentiments and also added the Catalan giants to the mix.

"It's difficult to say if the Ballon d'Or was taken away from Ronaldo, but there's no doubt that clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona have a lot of power," he said, as per Marca.

Paretic also didn't have a problem with Ronaldo's reactions to being substituted in back-to-back games before the international break.

"His injury niggles are annoying because he's competitive and his reaction says a lot about his spirit, his desire to be on the pitch," he added.

"He always wants to play and win everything."
