Inter Milan blew a big chance to stretch the lead at the top of Serie A with a disappointing goalless draw at the San Siro Stadium against AS Roma.

Inter missed big chances in either half to walk past the Romans, who now stay within the top-four bracket on the back of this outcome.

Atletico Madrid failed to edge closer to the top-four in LaLiga following a goalless draw against Villarreal at the El Madrigal on Friday.

Atleti remain outside the top-four, with sixth spot the position the side languishes whilst Villarreal occupy 12th spot six points from safety.

Olympique Lyon thrashed nine-man Nimes 4-0 at the Stade des Costieres in Ligue 1 on Friday evening to close in on a top-three spot.

Memphis Depay netted a brace for the visitors, while Houssem Aouar and Joachim Andersen also got on the score-sheet as well.

The match wasn't without drama as Nimes had Gaetan Paquiez and Theo Valls sent off in the first half.

LOSC Lille claimed a 1-0 win over newly-promoted Brest at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in the evening's other encounter.

Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen netted the all-important strike in the first 16 minutes, sending Lille to third spot.

Eintracht Frankfurt and Hertha Berlin settled for an entertaining 2-2 draw in a Bundesliga clash at the Commerzbank-Arena on Friday.

Goals from Dodi Lukebakio and Marko Grujic seemed to put Hertha on to victory, but Martin Hinteregger and Sebastian Rode forced a point apiece.

Hertha remain in the bottom quartet on 12 points with Eintracht treading five spots above the newly-appointed Jurgen Klinsmann's side.
