According to transfer expert David Ornstein, the French side accepted an offer of €62 million (about R1.2 billion), including add-ons, from the Erik ten Hag-led side for Yoro's signature.

It is understood the centre-back has signed a deal that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2029.

The deal will reportedly see the starlet earn €9 million (around R178 million), including bonuses, a year.

Yoro is thought to have initially settled on the idea of joining Spanish giants Real Madrid in this window.

However, with Los Blancos failing to match United's offer, Lille accepted the English giants' bid instead, with the idea of playing at Old Trafford believed to have grown on the player since.

Yoro impressed for his French club last season, so much so that he was named in the Ligue 1 Team of the Year, consequently sparking a race for his services.
