With Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar seemingly back to his best this season – he is already just two goals shy of his 2021/22 tally – the Brazilian has insisted he has done nothing new despite the big increase in his output.
Last season, the 30-year-old registered 13 goals and eight assists in 28 appearances across all competitions, with the PSG attacker missing a massive 22 games due to injury, according to Transfermarkt.

He has got off to a flying start in this campaign, however, scoring 11 times and contributing a further nine assists in just 13 outings so far, seeing him receive a lot of praise from his manager Christophe Galtier, who recently labelled him "an artist".
"It would be oversimplified to suggest that his good start to the season is only down to me and my staff," Galtier said, according to Goal.
"Ney has had a realisation in relation to last season, when he didn't perform as well, when he was less involved. He has lofty goals in what is a special season.
"He arrived back on time, in great shape, and had worked well beforehand. We wanted to put him in the best possible situation for him to be in the best possible position.
"He's an artist, and when he's on form, you can see that."

However, the Parisians' No. 10 insists nothing has changed in him this season.
"I don't think there is a new Neymar," he told PSG TV.
"I think just that things have dropped into place.
"I'm having a very good start to the season, like when I came here and in my first two or three years.
"I'm very happy. I'm really happy to start the season with goals, assists, helping the team as best I can, and hoping to have a great season and keep going like this until the end."
