New Paris Saint-Germain boss' 3 strict rules for Lionel Messi & company

New Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier has stamped his authority on the squad, having reportedly introduced three strict new rules for the team to follow.

The French head coach was hired earlier in July as the replacement for Mauricio Pochettino, who was relieved of his duties in the same week.

Galtier has already implemented changes to the team's playing formation, with the manager using a 3-4-1-2 approach in pre-season, which he had favoured at his previous clubs.

With the 55-year-old also known for being a disciplinarian, club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has reportedly backed the boss to be above any player at the club.

The PSG players are reportedly getting a taste of this side to life under Galtier during their pre-season tour of Japan, with their new boss said to have set three new rules for the squad.

According to Marca, the French side's players are now expected to arrive for training between 08:30 and 08:45 in the morning. If they fail to do so without a valid excuse, they will not be allowed to enter the training facility and will be sent back home.

Another reported rule has to do with mobile phones, with the players no longer allowed to use them during breakfast and lunch team meals. Galtier is attempting to build more unity in the group and believes this will help.

Lastly, the PSG squad will be forced to eat their meals together at their Camp des Loges training base. It is understood that, previously, players would eat together in small cliques and at different times, something the club wants to avoid going forward.

It is claimed the players have reacted well to the new manager's changes, including Neymar, who seems to be committed to the new project under Galtier despite his future in Paris reportedly being uncertain.
