Paris Saint-Germain defeated AC Ajaccio 3-0 to move six points clear at the top of Ligue 1 on Friday evening.
The renowned Lionel Messi partnered Kylian Mbappe in the PSG line-up and were assisted by Carlos Soler ahead of Neymar Junior, who missed out through suspension.
Ajaccio's encouraging start worried the visitors although Messi's curling free-kick from outside the area minutes in deflect off the wall and was palmed away by Benjamin Leroy.
PSG made the breakthrough during the midway stage as Mbappe beat the offside trap on the near side of the six-yard area following Messi's first-time pass and applied a first-time finish.
Mbappe should've added a second goal ten minutes to halftime when he connected with a cutback from the right by Fabian Ruiz, but the forward blazed over with the goal at his mercy.
Ajaccio was on the back-foot after the break and needed a couple of smart saves from their shot-stopper Leroy to parry in particular Juan Bernat's teasing shot from a tight angle following Messi's clipped pass.
The hosts' only meaningful threat was from set-plays and this became evident a little over 60 minutes where Vincent Marchetti fluffed a delivery from a corner-kick, as Soler made way for Pablo Sarabia.
Christophe Galtier's men turned it on minutes to full-time when clever bit of passing between Mbappe and Messi allowed the latter to sneak in and beat Leroy with a close-range finish.
It was three a little inside the last five minutes as Mbappe stayed ahead of the last man on the edge of the area and slammed home Messi's low pass.
PSG experienced no late drama from the host and in the end bagged a pretty comfortable victory to continue their spot at the summit.
