French Giants Confirm €80m Offer For African Star

Lille have confirmed they have received an offer of €80million for their African star, Nicolas Pepe, who has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal.

French publication L'Equipe reported that Inter Milan, Napoli, Liverpool and Arsenal met Lille's €80million price tag for the Ivory Coast international.

The Red Devils and Atletico Madrid have also believed to have indicated that they are willing to meet the evaluation, but are yet to make a formal approach.

Lille president Gerard Lopez has confirmed that Serie A outfit Napoli are one of the teams to meet the asking price.

"Last year we asked Pepe to stay, with the promise that we'd sell him in this transfer window," Lopez told Tuttosport.

"We've received offers that satisfy us in a financial sense from four clubs. De Laurentiis has met our asking price of €80m.

"Now it's up to the player to decide where he wants to go, also based on the offers that his agents have received from the four clubs.

"Pepe will get back from his holiday on Monday and I believe he will make a decision in the middle of next week."
