Real Madrid's 10 most expensive signings after Aurelien Tchouameni signing

Real Madrid won the race to sign Aurelien Tchouameni for a reported fee of €100 million, but where does he rank among the club's most expensive signings?

The transfer window only opened this week, but the UEFA Champions League holders have already bolstered their squad with two new arrivals in the past two weeks.

Germany international Antonio Rudiger joined the club on a free transfer from Chelsea, while on Saturday they announced they had reached an agreement with AS Monaco for the transfer of Tchouameni.

The deal for Tchouameni did not come cheap, with a number of reports claiming Los Blancos splashing out €100 million (R1.6 billion) for his services.

The transfer fee consists is €80 million up front plus another €20 million in variables, which only makes him the fourth most expensive Madrid signing, according to transfermrkt.

Eden Hazard still leads the way as Los Blancos' most expensive signing after the club paid Chelsea €115million for his services in 2019.

Gareth Bale, who will leave the club at the end of the month, comes in at second after his €101million move from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013, while Madrid paid a then world record fee of €94million for Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009.
