Just days after Lionel Messi was linked with a move away from FC Barcelona, club chief Josep Maria Bartomeu has given an update on the potential return of Brazil superstar Neymar.
Since joining PSG in 2017, Neymar has been perennially linked with a return to the Camp Nou, where he previously formed part of one of world football's most potent attacks alongside Messi and Luis Suarez.

However, Bartomeu has now played down the Blaugrana's chances of re-signing the 28-year-old due to the ongoing financial struggles the club is facing as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
"It is unlikely, due to the economic situation of all the clubs in Europe," he explained when asked about a potential Neymar return to the club, as reported by Forbes.

The Spaniard, though, was less dismissive of his side's chances of signing Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez, who has been linked with a move to the Catalan giants after a stellar campaign in Serie A.
"We will talk when the season ends. Barca has no dates on the calendar. Now we are [focused on] the league," the 57-year-old added.
