One of Pitso Mosimane's former players has explained why the South African manager initially benched him before later changing his mind.
Mosimane is widely regarded as one of Africa's top coaches, having won the CAF Champions League three times with two different clubs.
His managerial career has taken him to various countries, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Iran.

Currently without a managerial position, Mosimane's most recent role was as head coach of Esteghlal FC in Iran, although his tenure lasted just three months.
During his brief stint, Mosimane made a mixed impression at the Tehran club, facing criticism from some management members and former players.
However, not everyone was entirely critical. Arash Rezavand, one of his former players at Esteghlal, revealed that despite a rocky start, they eventually found common ground.
According to Iranian outlet Footballi, Rezavand explained how his working relationship with Mosimane unfolded.
He said: "During my time at Esteghlal, I was only benched for a few weeks under coach Mosimane.
"Apparently, someone told him I was a player from the previous coach's era. Without giving me a chance to play, he kept me on the bench for several matches.
"After observing my training sessions for a few weeks, his opinion changed, and he gradually gave me more playing time.
"I remember once in training, he told me, 'I'm very satisfied with you.'"
