New MC Alger coach Rulani Mokwena has reportedly suffered a big blow ahead of the 2025/26 season just days after taking the job.
The South African tactician was officially unveiled to the media and supporters this week after his appointment was confirmed a couple weeks ago.

Mokwena will also be back in the CAF Champions League this campaign, but the start to the season has already taken a knock with the injury of striker Saliou Bangoura.
Reports in Algeria claim the Guinean striker suffered a serious injury in training and subsequently underwent surgery.
Alger's doctor Djamel Ouardane confirmed Bangoura is now set for a spell on the sidelines.
"During today's training, Bangoura suffered an injury to his left ankle. This injury requires surgery. He will be sidelined for three months," Ouardane said, as per DZ Foot.
"I reassure the public that this injury is not serious and that he will come back stronger once he recovers."
Bangoura registered seven goals and three assists in 13 appearances for the Algerian Ligue 1 champions last season.
