Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Sandile 'AK-47' Ndlovu believes that Miguel Cardoso's team will finish at the top of Group F in the FIFA Club World Cup.
On Wednesday, Sundowns became the first team to earn all three points in their group, which also includes German giants Borussia Dortmund, Brazil's Fluminense, and South Korea's Ulsan HD.
A single goal from Iqraam Rayners secured a 1-0 victory for the South African champions against Ulsan.
"If all the teams in Group F play like Ulsan did today, I'm confident we will advance straight to the knockout stages," Ndlovu tells KickOff.
"You could see the motivation in Themba Zwane; the Sundowns players understand that top scouts from around the world are watching this tournament closely.
"There will be matches that will require the contributions of players like Iqraam Rayners, as demonstrated in our opening game.
"Ulsan tried their best and aimed to counter-attack. They also relied on set pieces. Despite being shorter, the Asian players can still jump well," he added.
"For Sundowns, it felt more like a training match. We played the style of football we know best. I was impressed with how Sundowns managed the pressure from their opponents.
"My only concern is Divine Lunga's attacking approach, he pushes forward too aggressively. At this level, once you commit forward, opponents can exploit the space behind you.
"Sundowns will finish in first place in this group, and they will maintain that position. All eyes are on them now after (the) win. Borussia Dortmund, having failed to secure three points, must be shaking in their boots.
"I loved the pace with which the Sundowns players attacked. They are clearly playing for goals."
