Wydad Casablanca ended their FIFA Club World Cup group stage campaign with a 2-1 loss to Al Ain on Thursday evening.
South African duo Thembinkosi Lorch and Cassius Mailula started in the attack for the first time since the opening loss to Manchester City.
Mailula made his presence known early on when he opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a powerful strike in the box after being picked out by Mohamed Moufid.
Al Ain got back on level terms in first-half stoppage through Kodjo Fo-Doh Laba, who converted a penalty after a decision from the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
The UAE side carried that momentum into the second period as Alejandro Romero put the side ahead five minutes after the interval with a first-time curling strike into the top corner.
There was no way back in to the clash for the Moroccan giants, who finish the campaign bottom of Group G without a single point to their name.
Juventus 2-5 Manchester City

The Cityzens got off to the perfect start when Jeremy Doku opened the scoring in the ninth minute with a composed finish in the box.
The lead did not last too long as Juventus were back on level terms two minutes later through Teun Koopmeiners' composed finish at the near post.
Pep Guardiola's charges were able to restore their lead in the 26th minute via an own goal from Pierre Kalulu, who deflected Matheus Nunes' cross into his own net.
Following the introduction of some bigger names, the Cityzens extended their advantage when Erling Haaland netted the third goal seven minutes after the interval while Phil Foden made it 4-1 in the 69th minute.
Savinho got his name on the score-sheet with 15 minutes left on the clock, while Dusan Vlahovic got the second goal for Juventus lat on.
