Chelsea hand Liverpool biggest loss under Slot

Chelsea maintained their hopes of securing a UEFA Champions League spot with a 3-1 win over Premier League champions Liverpool.

The Reds rang the changes after last week's big win over Tottenham Hotspur, as Kostas Tsimikas, Jarell Quansah, Wataru Endo, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones.

The home side drew first blood after just four minutes when Pedro Neto turned provider and sent the ball into the box, where Enzo Fernandez was on hand to fire home.

Enzo Maresca's men managed to bag a second goal ten minutes after the halftime break when Virgil van Dijk's clearance hit Quansah and sailed into the back of their own net.

The Reds did pull one back on 84 minutes when Virgil van Dijk lost his marker to head past Robert Sanchez from a corner.

Cole Palmer had the final say when he converted a penalty in second-half stoppage time for the Blues, who move level on points with fourth-placed Newcastle United.

Brentford 4-3 Manchester United

Manchester United’s disappointing form in the Premier League continued following a 4-3 defeat to Brentford on Sunday.

Mason Mount gave the Red Devils a solid start when he got in the middle of the area to slam in a floated cross from Alejandro Garnacho.

However, the Bees hit back three minutes to the half-hour mark as Luke Shaw directed a goal-bound shot from Mikkel Damsgaard into his own net.

United trailed three minutes later when Kevin Schade charged in the six-yard box to beat Bayindir with a firm finish off the head.

Schade haunted the Red Devils once again a couple of minutes in the second stages when he netted a third with another solid header and completed his brace.

United’s torrid afternoon continued in the latter phases and conceded again after Yoane Wissa made the most of a ball in-behind to find the net.

Garnacho got a lifeline for the visitors with a solid finish from the edge of the area following a combination with Christian Eriksen.

The Red Devils found a third goal a minute to fulltime when Amad Diallo marched into the box to slam through the legs of goalkeeper Mark Flekken, but the hosts held on for the win.

Brighton and Hove Albion 1-1 Newcastle United

Newcastle United maintained their top-four ambitions after securing a last-gasp 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium.

Minteh worked a piece of magic around the half-hour mark when he stepped inside of Tino Livramento and Sandro Tonali to finish from a clever angle in the box.

With victory on the cards for the hosts, the Magpies turned up a minute into additional time when Alexander Isak finished from the penalty spot after a hand-ball by Yasin Ayari.

West Ham United 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United played to a 1-1 draw in a highly-contested bottom-half encounter at the London Stadium.

Spurs made a positive start in the 15th minute after Wilson Odobert punced on a delivery across the face of the six-yard box by Mathys Tel and finished with ease.

The Hammers rallied back two minutes to the half-hour mark as Jarrod Bowen latched onto a timeous delivery from Aaron Wan-Bissaka and fired through a diving Gu
