The Barcelona goalkeeper did not want to praise the Los Blancos midfielder after the encounter, adding to the rivalry.
"I don't rate opposition players," Ter Stegen told LaLiga's media channel, as per Mirror.
"In the end he was the one who scored both goals and won the match for Real Madrid."
Veteran midfielder Luka Modric, however, was full of praise for his midfield partner after the late heroics.
"I don't know how to explain what's happening with Jude. It seems like he's been here for a long time", Modric said, as per Marca.
"It's no coincidence that he's adapted so well. He's a top guy, an extraordinary talent. I don't think even he believes the goals he's scoring. Now he can't stop!"
