Official: Bayern Munich sign Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid Tanguy Kouassi

With Bayern Munich having all but confirmed the signing of Leroy Sane, the Bundesliga champions have signalled their intentions of dominating the league again next season by snapping up Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid Tanguy Kouassi as well.

On Wednesday, Bayern confirmed that the highly-rated defender had signed for the club on a four-year deal following the expiration of his contract with PSG.

"We are very happy that we were able to sign Tanguy Nianzou Kouassi for FC Bayern. In our eyes, he is one of the greatest talents in Europe," sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic told the club's official website.

"His top position is a central defender, but he can play in several positions. We are sure that he will have a great career with us and is an absolute reinforcement."

REPORTS: Sane agrees £54m Man City exit

Kouassi made his debut for Les Parisiens in December last year, and went on to make 13 appearances across all competitions for the club, scoring three times along the way.

His arrival comes hours after leaked reports indicated that Bayern had reached an agreement with Manchester City over the signing of Leroy Sane, with the Germany international set to join the Bavarians for a reported figure of £54 million (R1.1 billion).
