Mainz 0-1 Hoffenheim

Hoffenheim extended their two-match unbeaten run with a 1-0 win over fourth-from-bottom side Mainz on the road.

The winning strike of the game came courtesy of Togolese international Ihlas Bebou minutes before the halftime interval.

Mainz's stuttering campaign continued as Hoffenheim remain within touching distance of a European slot.

Schalke 0-1 Werder Bremen

Werder Bremen boosted their hopes of survial with a 1-0 win over Schalke in Saturday afternoon's Bundesliga action.

Leonardo Bittencourt got the game's only goal midway in the first half to leave Schalke just outside the top half while Bremen find themselves second-from-bottom spot, two points adrift of safety.

Wolfsburg 1-2 Eintracht Frankfurt

Wolfsburg were brought down to earth after suffering a late 2-1 defeat at the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt in Wolfsburg.

A penalty early in the first half from Portugal's Andre Silva put Eintracht ahead at halftime before Kevin Mbabu levelled soon thereafter.

Japanese-born Daichi Kamada fired home the winner for the visitors five minutes from regulation time to end his side's eight-match winless run across all competitions.

Hertha Berlin 2-0 FC Augsburg

Hertha Berlin extended their unbeaten run in the league to five matches after securing a 2-0 win over FC Augsburg in Berlin.

Javairo Dilrosun got the opening strike midway in the first stanza before substitute Krzysztof Piatek sealed the points right at the death, leaving both sides in the bottom-half of the table.
