German Bundesliga wrap

Wolfsburg 0-2 Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund kept themselves firmly in the Bundesliga title race with a 2-0 win over Vfl Wolfsburg on Saturday afternoon.

Raphael Guerreiro, who scored a brace in last weekend's 4-0 win over Schalke 04, got the opener midway in the first half before Achraf Hakimi fired home the second later on.

Wolfsburg finished the match with a man down after Felix Klaus got a straight red in the final minutes, as Dortmund stay in the hunt for the title.

SC Freiburg 0-1 Werder Bremen

Werder Bremen overcame Monday's 4-1 loss at home to Bayer Leverkusen with a morale boosting 1-0 win at SC Freiburg.

Leonardo Bittencourt provided the all-important winner earlier in the first half, boosting his side's battle against the drop although they did finish with 10 men after Philipp Bargfrede saw red minutes to the end.

Paderborn 1-1 Hoffenheim

Bottom-placed Paderborn also boosted their battle against the drop with a 1-1 draw against TSG Hoffenheim.

Goals inside the first ten minutes from Robert Skov put the visitors on target before Dennis Srbeny levelled matters in the matter of minutes.

Borussia Monchengladbach 1-3 Bayer Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen enjoyed another good outing on the road after recording a 3-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

Kai Havertz netted the opener on seven minutes, but Marcus Thuram levelled matters for Gladbach after halftime.

Havertz got his second from the spot couple of moments later before Sven Bender put the final nail in Gladbach's coffin with the third of the afternoon in the final minutes of the match.
