Bundesliga wrap: Wolfsburg finally off the mark

Vfl Wolfsburg claimed their first win in the Bundesliga after seeing off Arminia Bielefeld 2-1 at the Volkswagen Arena on Sunday.

Wolfsburg, who had prior to the match picked up just four points from four consecutive draws, started with Admir Mehmedi, Maximilian Arnold and Wout Weghorst.

The latter broke the deadlock earlier on before Arnold doubled their tally for a two-goal lead at the halftime interval.

Arminia pulled a goal back in the final ten minutes through Sven Schipplock who entered from the bench midway in the second half.

SV Werder Bremen and TSG Hoffenheim shared the spoils at the Weserstadion on Sunday.

Milot Rashica was an unused substitute by the hosts, who had Niclas Fullkrug and Leonardo Bittencourt spearheading the attack with Christoph Baumgartner up top for Hoffenheim.

Fullkrug' time was short-lived when an injury before halftime paved the way for Japanese international Yuya Osako.

Bremen raced into the lead courtesy of Maximilian Eggestein, but were pegged back by Dennis Geiger inside the midway stage of the first half.
