Robert Lewandowski netted a hat-trick as Bayern Munich thumped VfB Stuttgart 4-0 at Allianz Stadium on Saturday despite being reduced to ten men after just 12 minutes.
Alphonso Davies was given his marching orders in the 12th minute but it did little to put the Bavarians off their stride.
Lewandowski netted a scintillating first-half hat-trick and Serge Gnabry also got on the scoresheet with all their goals coming in the opening period.

Borussia Dortmund were held to a surprise 2-2 draw by Bundesliga strugglers FC Koln at RheinEnergie Stadion as Erling Braut Haaland grabbed a brace.
Haaland opened the scoring in the third minute before Ondrej Duda equalised from the penalty spot for the hosts in the 35th minute.
Ismail Jakovbs edged Koln back in front in the 65th minute and just when it looked as if the Borussians would be condemned to defeat, the Norwegian marksman once again popped up in the 90th minute to claim a share of the spoils for his side.
Dortmund are still in fifth, while Koln are down in 14th.
Wolfsburg consolidated third position in the Bundesliga standings with a 2-1 win over Werder Bremen.
Wolfsburg defender Josh Sargent put the ball into his own net in the eighth minute before Wout Weghorst doubled the lead for the visitors in the 42nd minute. Kevin Mohlwald pulled one back for Werder on the stroke of half-time.
The Wolves are four points ahead of fourth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt and six points behind second-placed RB Leipzig, while Werder are in 12th level on 30 points with Hoffenehim one place above them.
Eintracht Frankfurt moved four points clear of fifth-placed Borussia Dortmund with a 5-2 thrashing of Union Berlin at Commerzbank-Arena.
Andre Silva, a Robert Andrich own goal, Filip Kostic and Timothy Chandler secured maximum points for the hosts, while Max Kruse netted a brace for the men from the capital.
The Frankfurters are in fifth, while the Berliners are in seventh.
