TSG Hoffenheim 0-2 Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich cemented second spot on the Bundesliga standings after grabbing a 2-0 win over TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday afternoon.
It didn't take the Bavarians long to make their intentions known after Jamal Musiala made the opening before Eric Choupo-Moting doubled their cushion ahead of the break.
Bayern had chances to extend their advantage following the second stanza, but were forced to settle for just two goals on the day and ultimately the victory that sustained their second spot.
Borussia Dortmund 5-0 VfB Stuttgart
Borussia Dortmund rekindled their top-four ambitions with a dominant 5-0 thumping over VfB Stuttgart at the Signal Iduna Park.
Jude Bellingham put the Black and Yellow ahead minutes after the start before Niklas Sule and then Giovanni Reyna gave the host a solid cushion before the break.
Dortmund didn't let up after the interval and saw Bellingham complete a brace whilst Youssoufa Moukoko made it five later on and helped the host back to winning ways in the league.
Bayer Leverkusen 2-2 VFL Wolfsburg
Bayer Leverkusen's slow start to the campaign continued after an entertaining 2-2 draw against VFL Wolfsburg at the BayArena.
Leverkusen could've had the perfect start with a spot-kick earlier on, but Moussa Diaby missed though he made amends shortly thereafter to give the home team the lead.
An own-goal from midfielder Robert Andrich levelled matters ahead of the half-hour mark before Maximilian Arnold's penalty in the second half put the visitors in front.
No victory for the travelling outfit came though as Jeremie Frimpong equalised well inside the closing ten minutes and handed Leverkusen a crucial point.
SC Freiburg 2-0 Werder Bremen
SC Freiburg continued their dream start to the season and recorded a 2-0 win over a ten-man Werder Bremen to remain third on the table.
Bremen were reduced to ten players within the opening 14 minutes as Marco Friedl saw red for a strong and dangerous lunge.
As the first half finished all square, Freiburg broke the deadlock earlier in the second period through Lukas Kubler before a penalty from Vincenzo Grifo late on wrapped up the contest.
FC Augsburg 3-3 RB Leipzig
RB Leipzig staged a dramatic turnaround in the closing minutes and overturned a three-goal deficit to hold FC Augsburg to a 3-3 draw.
Mergim Berisha put the host ahead at halftime from the spot and Ermedin Demirovic made it two following the break before Ruben Vargas added a third, with Iago dismissed following a second yellow.
With time running out Leipzig hit back through Andre Silva and late strikes at the death from Christopher Nkunku as well as Hugo Novoa rescued a point from the brink of defeat.
