Bundesliga match report Bayern Munich v Eintracht Frankfurt

Bayern freshened up their stall from Wednesday's 4-0 whitewash of Atletico Madrid, with Jerome Boateng, Alphonso Davies, Bouna Sarr as well as Douglas Costa getting a nod.

The Bavarians experienced a set-back after an injury inside three minutes gave Davies a premature end to the match before having his spot taken by Lucas Hernandez.

This didn't seem to trouble the all-conquering side who still surged in front on ten minutes after Robert Lewandowski smashed Kingsley Coman's cross off a counter-attack past Kevin Trapp.

Lewandowski bagged a double in the 26th minute after directing an on point supply from Joshua Kimmich past Trapp after out-jumping Stefan Ilsanker.

Eintracht' woes looked to worsen when Makoto Hasebe lunged in on Costa minutes to halftime, leading the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) fortunately no penalty-kick was handed.

Bayern stayed unchanged from the first half, while Timothy Chandler and Amin Younes gave way for the visitors as the second half resumed.

Lewandowski completed his hat-trick 60 minutes in from a weighted through ball from Costa before applying a close-range finish after a good first-touch from the Pole.

Hernandez should've given a fourth four minutes later following a golden opening from an unmarked position, but the Frenchman went over the top.

Three straight changes from Hansi Flick on 68 minutes saw Lewandowski, Costa and Thomas Muller make way for Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Javier Martinez and Leroy Sane.

Sane joined the party after four minutes when he chased down a threatening ball from Sarr before cutting in from the right to bend into the far corner from the cusp of the area.

Bayern put the icing on the cake in stoppage time when Jamal Musiala stabbed home a rebound from close-range to complete the rout.
