Bayern Munich manager Hans Flick has responded to the surprise reports linking Mario Gotze with a return to the club.
Gotze remains without a club after parting ways with Borussia Dortmund at the end of the 2019/2020 season.

Sport Bild claimed that Flick had been contact with 2014 World Cup winner, but they Bayern manager insists it was not for a transfer.
"I have had frequent contact with him since my time with the national team," Flick said, as per Goal.
"I have high regard for Mario and know where his strengths lie. But that's not an option for us at the moment," he said.

During Gotze's three year-spell at the Allianz Arena, the midfielder did collect a few trophies but only made 114 appearances.
The Bavarians have already boasted their squad with the arrivals of Leroy Sane, Alaxnder Nubel and Tanguy Nianzou.
