The George-based side announced Mzava’s signing on Monday, though details regarding the length of the contract were not disclosed. However, according to Pan Africa Football, Mzava has penned a one-year deal.

Mzava joined Magesi in July 2024 and played a pivotal role in helping the Limpopo-based club secure their first-ever top-flight trophy, defeating Mamelodi Sundowns in the Carling Cup final.

The 31-year-old centre-back spent just seven months with Dikwena Tsa Meetse before being released in January 2025. After remaining without a club for nearly seven months, Mzava has now found a new home in the Malaysia Super League.

"Say hello to Limbikani Oscar Mzava, the commanding centre-back ready to anchor the Panthers’ defence with strength and authority," read the club's statement.

"Wearing jersey number 5, Mzava brings grit, aerial power, and natural leadership just what Penang FC needs to tighten things up at the back.

"Defenders win games too and this one is built to dominate! Let’s give him a proud Penang welcome."

Throughout his career in South Africa, Mzava also featured for AmaZulu, Golden Arrows, Bloemfontein Celtic, Cape Town City, and Highlands Park.
