Mohamed Sherif, who returned to the club this season, opened the scoring for Al Ahly on 10 minutes before Ahmed Sayed doubled the advantage in the 21st minute.
Riveiro's men carried that dominance into the second half and managed to get a third goal just before the hour mark, with Sayed completing his brace.
Mohamed Fakhri did pull a goal back for Pharco on 70 minutes, however striker Nejc Gradisar restored Al Ahly's three-goal lead 11 minutes later.
The clash did end on a sour note for Al Ahly, who finished the game with 10 players following Mohamed Hany's sending off in the 90th minute.
