Chiefs-linked striker drops bombshell on future

The Tanzania international enjoyed a fruitful season by registering 14 goals and five assists along the way for Yanga.

However, the 21-year-old has now confirmed that he is ready for a new challenge as he continues to be linked with teams across the African continent.

“I've had a great season - winning the Premier League crown and scoring in the derby," Mzize told the Guardian.

"It's an immense feeling, and I’m grateful to be here. It’s true that I’ve received offers, but as a player, I can’t disclose them.

“Of course, I want to explore new opportunities to grow my career. I’ve had wonderful moments at Young Africans, and as I’ve mentioned, I’m still under contract.

"So everything will be handled through my management, and we’ll see what happens next.”

The Yanga forward has also been linked with moves to North African sides, including the reigning CAF Champions League winners Pyramids FC.
